By Car
The access road to Sass da Grüm is narrow but fully paved. It leads to our designated car park in the forest. From there, the hotel is approximately a 30-minute walk uphill.
- 1 Drive to the small village of Vairano. The church is a helpful landmark.
- 2 Just after the church, turn left uphill and follow the signs for "Sass da Grüm."
- 3 Continue along the narrow, paved road until you reach the designated hotel car park in the forest.
- 4 Place your luggage inside the brown luggage gondola beside the car park.
- 5 Once your luggage is inside, please call reception so that our team can transport it up to the hotel.
- 6 Continue to Sass da Grüm on foot. The walk takes approximately 30 minutes, and your luggage will be waiting for you upon arrival.
On Foot
The final part of every journey to Sass da Grüm is completed on foot. From the forest car park, a signposted mountain path leads you up to the hotel.
The path follows natural, uneven ground — take your time, and let the walk be part of arriving. Before starting your walk, place your luggage in the brown gondola and call reception so our team can transport it to the hotel.
Bus, Train & Boat
Public transport brings you close to Sass da Grüm. From the nearest bus stop or station, you may continue on foot or arrange a private transfer for a more comfortable arrival.
Vairano Paese is a request stop, so please press the stop button in good time. For the journey from any nearby station or boat landing, we recommend booking our private transfer in advance. Before starting your walk, place your luggage in the brown gondola and call reception so our team can transport it to the hotel.
Private Transfer
Private transfers can be arranged directly with our local drivers. Please contact them at least 48 hours before your arrival to confirm availability and arrange your pickup.

Payment is accepted in cash only. From the forest car park, the final part of the journey is a scenic uphill walk of approximately 30 minutes. Your luggage will be transported up for you. How does the luggage lift work?
After parking your car, place your luggage in the brown gondola (goods lift).
Please call our reception at +41 91 785 21 71 once your luggage has been loaded into the gondola. We will send it up while you begin your walk to the hotel.
How long is the walk to the hotel?
From the parking area, the mountain trail to Sass da Grüm takes approximately 30 minutes.
The path is well signposted but includes uphill sections, so we strongly recommend comfortable hiking or walking shoes.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes! Dogs are very welcome at Sass da Grüm.
Please keep them on a leash around the property and on hiking trails, and help us keep the surroundings clean so everyone can enjoy the mountain environment.
Do you offer a shuttle service?
Transportation can be arranged at least 48 hours before arrival.

When can I check in?
Rooms are ready from 2:00 p.m.
We kindly ask guests to arrive before 4:00 p.m. If you expect to arrive later, please contact us in advance.
Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.
What are the restaurant opening hours?
Breakfast: 8:00–10:00
Lunch: 11:30–14:30
Dinner: 18:00–20:00
Our cuisine is seasonal, regional and predominantly vegetarian, using fresh ingredients from the surrounding area.
Can I reach Sass da Grüm by public transport?
Yes.
Take public transport to Vairano Paese (church stop). From there, the walk to Sass da Grüm takes approximately 40 minutes.
Can I complete check-in before arriving?
Yes.
